Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of VVAI-LC (the "Service"), operated by the VVAI-LC team ("we", "us"). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

VVAI-LC is a hosted personal bookkeeping application for recording and analyzing your own income, expenses and account balances. The application is based on the open-source project ezBookkeeping (MIT License); VVAI-LC is an independent service and is not affiliated with that project.

2. Not financial advice

The Service is a record-keeping tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice, does not connect to your bank, and does not hold or move money. You are responsible for decisions you make based on your records.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One subscription covers one person; you may not share or resell access.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders and handles payment, billing and applicable sales tax. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged until you cancel. Prices are shown on our pricing page.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard via "Manage billing". You keep access until the end of the current paid period, after which your account is paused. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

6. Your data

You own the data you enter. You can export it at any time while your subscription is active. If your subscription ends, we keep your data for at least 90 days so you can resubscribe or request an export, and we delete it on request.

7. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Material changes to these Terms will be announced by email or on this page.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
